Very old Sunn?

I never post here but I saw this at the Guitar Show in Arlington TX

It looks to be an original generation Sunn, the guy in the both seemed to not know anything about it other than it is "loud"

Wow!  That is an old one.  The "smiley face" logo plate was used on the Sunn amps when I was operating out of my dad's shop in Lake Oswego, Oregon before moving into the Tualatin location.  The paisley looking vinyl was actually used on the old Pullman railroad car seats.  This unit has a handwired Dynaco Mark III amplifier driven by a bass preamp of our design.

There are a bunch of pictures in the thread linked below starting on page 2. Both the amp in this thread and in the linked thread are the 60W models but you can only tell from the back. The 40W model has a different chrome chassis visible on the back left.
