big fat japan happily plays thru a sunn studio pa head into a guild 2x15. that's the guitar track on the songs, bass wise is a traynor yba-1 thru a sunn 2x15. live is different. double the bass setup and guitar is also a guild thunderstar bass head into a guild 1x15. i plan on switching out the guild head and cab for another sunn head and cab of sorts. though maybe a hiwatt. we'll see. check it out. you can see the sunns in the pics too. thanks.

Can't see this because I'm at work now and myspace is blocked, but I just picked up a Concert bass, and have 2 Emperor 2x15s. Here's a picture of my most recent buys:

bet that sounds huge. our bassist just switched out the traynor and sunn cabs for a v4 w/ 2 matching ampeg 4x12's. i still think the concert bass thru the emperor sounds WAY better.

Wondering how that 66 Coliseum PA head sounds.......mine isn't up and running yet......can you get the amp to distort without pedals ?

i actually just picked it up sunday. i played it quiet thru the guys vintage fender 2x12 and his g n l tele. i'm gonna crank it tomorrow at practice. i can't wait. it sees its first show friday.

omg does it distort! it sounds massive. i ran it into my bassists two ampeg 4x12's and my studio pa head into my 2x15. let's just say it is a wall of sound. i jumpered the channels on the coliseum. it def has enough gain without doing that, but i did it anyway, just to see. hahaha. the studio pa with the winged c 6550's has all my midrange, and the coliseum with original kt88's fills out the bottom and gives a bit more top end. very full tone. can't wait for our show friday!
