In the current Bass PLayer(Paul Mc C. cover) John Lodge mentions that he's been using what sounds like a classic Coliseum set-up(300-watt amp plus 4x12 and 1x18 cabs)on tour for the last fifteen years! Not that I've really cared about what they've been doing for even longer than that, but it's a testimony to the 30-year old design that someone who could have any high-tech rig in the world chose Sunn, fifteen years after that particular amp came out, and continued to use it for another fifteen!
