Recone or Replace for 610L
« on: July 12, 2009, 06:21:33 pm »
My 610L is starting to buzz.  Should I get the speakers re-coned or replaced?  I play in B and A so I'm thinking that my low tuning might be what's blowing these speakers out so maybe I should get something more modern to handle the low end.  What speakers are going to come as close to the tone and sound of the stock Sunn's?

Thanks

Check to hear if it is one speaker or more that is noise or if it is something in or on the cabinet. Look for loose screws, nuts, wires, frames, casters, handles....anything.

Only way to get the original sound is to have them reconed. MWA is supply wonderful faithful parts these days. Sometimes Image parts are better but mostly MWA does a great job. I can recone them for $50.00 each or less depending on how many. I am in the metro Detroit area.
