Concert Lead blue 7-pin footswitch options?
« on: July 22, 2010, 11:50:29 pm »
I know this topic comes up often (I've spent hours reading the threads here that came up in my search). But finding one of these blue 7-pin footswitches for the Concert Lead is impossible. Without one I can't switch on the distortion on my 1977 single-channel Concert Lead. Has anyone found any other footswitches on the market that might work? Anything I can do to trick the amp into turning on the distortion? I want the distortion on and the reverb off...can I take it to an amp tech and have them permanently switch it this way? What options are there?

I've had several 'single channel' late 70s red knob Concert Leads and this has never been a problem for me. The distortion to my knowledge will turn on and off with the flick of the distort switch, regardless of a footswitch, and rolling the reverb to zero essentially shuts it off. You may wanna try a vintage Peavey 7-pin two button foot switch though.
