Beta Bass Issue
« on: April 11, 2010, 04:23:57 pm »
I just bought a Beta Bass. It sounds awesome, but sometimes when I turn it on, it very quiet and tinny sounding. To fix it, I turn the master volume up pretty high, quickly, and it pops back on to where it should be. And sometimes while I'm playing it'll crap out And I can't always fix it.

The pot itself is very scratchy too, and I can hear the amp 'try' to sounds like its supposed to when turning the master vol. So is the problem just the pot (all the pots are a little scratchy, BTW), and how hard is it to replace?

thanks

a lot of times you can clean the pots with a contact cleaner like Deoxit. it could also be a bad or a a few bad solder joint(s)...
