: Thank you Stuart!
I saw Hendrix perform twice.  The first time was in Muncie, Indiana of all places.  This was before Hendrix had become a mainstream star.  I was sitting less that 20 feet in front of the stage and it was an awesome performance.  The last time I saw Hendrix perform live was several years later in Cobo Arena -- Detroit, MI. The place was so huge you had to use binoculars to see Hendrix play.  He took forever to tune up, and the audience started getting impatient. He stopped what he was doing and told the crowd that as far as he was concerned, "tuning up was part of the show and to just dig it."  I'm glad I got to see Hendrix in small venue (Muncie) because you could really appreciate his skill as a player and a performer.
