sunn 412sr's for trade
« on: April 16, 2010, 12:21:28 pm »
paired with my model t, i was using 2 of the old sunn 412sr cabinets to put out my sound live. they're column towers loaded with the original sunn tranducer speakers rated at 45 watts a piece. one of the speakers was believed to be dead when i got them home so i replaced it with an Enimence Cannabis Rex rated at 50 watts RMS. i don't really want to get rid of these cabinets, but i have two 215's that i need to worry about as well and i'm looking to downgrade to a smaller and easier to store/transport 412 cabinet. I'm interested in doing a straight trade for a sunn 4x12 (not the 90's fender rebranded sunn) cabinet. the cabinets are in plain and working order, both wired to run at 8 ohms a piece or a 4 ohm load in either series or paralell. they have the dual inputs and are front loaded. cosmetically they are in very good shape, i do believe they date to 1968. up until recently i was a gigging musician, but the booze took over my bandmates lives and i'm left back on my own, so a rig like this is just unecessary and now becoming a burden. serious offers only on TRADE only. I'm not interested in selling as i still need something to play through. i could use my 215, but i'd still be out my 12's and since i play bass and guitar this wouldn't work for me. Maybe in time if i decide to sell, i will, but that is if there is no one who's looking for a steal to upgrade. Help me help you.

Hi, Ryan,

I haven't got the cabinet you're looking for, but I can do cash.

Where are you and what is your asking price?

Please respond to jefftroy@aol.com

really need a cabinet, ill look around online and get back at you in a few days.  if no one on craigslist philly (that's me) or on here can do the trade, you're the first buyer so far.  someone wants to trade me for a 200 watt acoustic 4x12 at 4 ohms, i've turned him down as of now though.

Thanks, Ryan,

If you don't score your trade, come up with a can't-refuse price and call me (717-917-3670) or e-mail to jefftroy@aol.com.

I'm in Lancaster, not much more than an hour from Philly, so pickup could be seamless.

Thanks and regards,

i know this is typical, but private message me some sort of offer.  as i said, i'm more looking to downgrade than to lose my cabs completely, but i do have a 215 that i could use, so i will be able to think of it.  i also live right near Zerns, so if you know where that's at, you could make a hell of a trip!

Hi, Again,

Just stumbled onto your craigslist piece, so pics aren't necessary. The cabs look fine.

I know Boyertown okay. I have two buds there, one races vintage karts with me near Allentown, and the other is a fellow writer and RC modeler. I'm less than an hour from you.

If we put this together, I can meet you at the best pizza joint in town. Joe's from Brooklyn and does a real New York pie -- none of that Amish Pennsylvania stuff. I'll buy.
