Concert Lead Boost Section Clone
« on: May 29, 2010, 07:00:32 pm »
Long story short, I've been using my Concert Lead as a bass amp til my Concert Bass comes back from the shop and I really like using the boost with my favorite tonal setting.

So what I'm asking is there a way to clone the boost circuit (I guess that's what you'd call it) in a Red Knob Concert Lead and put it inside a pedal?

Or maybe this should be in Q&A? Either way I really wanna do this. I just need to know if it's possible to pull the necessary information out of the schematic to do it.

Based upon this schematic:

Could I tell a tech to copy the boost circuit and make a new schematic for just it, Or even build a boost pedal with it? Can anyone here decipher it?

after quickly looking at the schematic you posted, it looks to me as thought the boost/distortion isn't really it's own/separate circuit. the boost/distortion controls just let you drive the amps circuit into a boost or distortion. sometimes i over look things so i may be wrong but i'm pretty sure i've got it right...i'm not saying it couldn't be done but it would be pretty involved...

Yeah, I've looked over it, I'm not even savvy with this stuff but I could, I was just hoping there's the possibility of it.
