I'm relatively close to Richmond. In fact, I just drove down there to get my 2nd Gen Model T. If you're interested in one or both of the cabs in Richmond (assuming the guy won't ship), let me know, and I could pick them up and ship them to you.

Gotta help out fellow Sunn brethren.

$500's a bit steep, understandable but still steep. I'd have to unload my Ampeg 8x10 first then.

EDIT: Oh wait $500 for both. Well I only need one. So yeah if you're close enough to go check those cabs out for me, I definitely like to get one of them. I have cash now to pay for one and the shipping.

Sure thing.

If you want to get in touch with the guy and work out a deal, let me know, and I'll gladly pick it up and ship it to you. Even if I drove down and checked out the cabs beforehand, there's no guarantee that my idea of a good cab is the same as your idea of a good cab, so your best bet is to talk to the guy, get some more pics, and see what you think.

If you work something out, I'd be happy to be the middleman and get 'em to you.

Alright. Yeah, I'll give our friend in Richmond a call then.

EDIT: Called him, nice guy. He's going to take pictures late tonight after he's moved them to his friend basement/jam room. Once I get the pictures, I'll let you know. Oh jd could I get your e-mail and/or phone number? So it'd be easier for for us to stay in contact to get this done?

Alright I'll give you a call soon. Looks like he hasn't followed through with getting pictures. I think you may just have to go check the cabs out for me, maybe take pictures of them and e-mail them to me. I'm not sure if he's will to sell only one cab yet though...

Looks like the dude is a flake. Oh well. THE SEARCH GOES ON! Not like I'm in too much of a hurry or anything seeing as my Concert Bass just fried again... :/

I like Richmond a lot, but some of the scenesters down there can be, well....flakey. When I drove down there recently to buy a 2nd Gen Model T, the guy assured me that the amp was in perfect shape, just needed new tubes. That seemed plausible enough considering that the amp worked appropriately but was lacking a bit in the volume and tone departments. Well, the tubes were actually fine; the culprits were two blown tube sockets and a lot of leaking caps.

Caveat emptor, I suppose.

What's going on with your Concert Bass?

Nice. And VERY true.

Umm, well I gigged it last month and at the end of our set it cut out and started smoking. Opened it up the next day, it smelt like an electrical fire and parts of the PCB were scorched. Took it to my tech, he replaced 4 transistors said it should be good but a couple caps are going bad. Now when it the heat sink on the back around the transistors gets really hot and eventually the amp just stops producing sound so I shut it off. I come back after it's cooled down and it starts producing sound again.
