I like the single mic on that one cab. Question is, if they're mic'ing that rig, how big of a PA setup do they have?

I REMEMBER GUYS USING JBL FOLDED HORN CABINETS WITH A 15" AND A HORN, AND THEY WOULD USE 2 OR 4 PER SIDE AT OUTDOOR GIGS.

I'm pretty sure that's a Mosrite, probably a Ventures model. The "German carve" on the body is a giveaway. Far from inexpensive, in the 60's they were almost twice as much as Fenders. Vintage Mosrites are pretty rare, basses more so than guitars. I've got a sunburst that I've had for decades, the last Mosrite bass I saw for sale was a white one for $2400 about a year ago.
Short scale, extremely fast thin neck.

They were generally associated with country and gospel music and then were popular with the California surf sound.
Cobain played a vintage Mosrite regularly, but overall I'd say that it doesn't exactly fit "The Stooges" style.

The fact that those cabs may be hand-me-downs from the MC5 when they switched to all Marshalls just popped into my head.

And don't forget those huge EV Voice of the Theater speakers with the horn loaded 15's and that multi-cellular horn.  Those kicked butt in the day.
