200S plywood rough cuts

I decided to figure out how to arrange the cuts to get an entire 200S cabinet out of one 48x96" piece of plywood, so I did this cad drawing.
There are many ways to do it but this one works for me. Hope someone can use it.



This is only the rough cuts to get the sheet broke up for easier handling. A person might use a skill saw etc.

When I go to the plywood store I will have it cut into 3 sections.
The Front and Back 40.5 x 48
The Top and Bottom  24.5 x 48
The Sides 31 x 48.

From there it should be easier to get on the table saw and radial arm saw and get it to the actual dimensions.

I hope you've taken into consideration the width of the saw kerf. That has to be figured into the measurements also.

Finish cut sizes.......

Front and Back  22.5 x 38.5
Sides 15 x 40
Top and Bottom  15 x 23.25

(Using Rabbet joints on sides and top and bottom)

I used rabbet and dado joints on the corners of my cabs.  A word of wisdom from experience to avoid any splitting of the plywood...use some good carpenter glue, or Gorilla Glue, on the joints. On the top and bottom panels go in 3/8" from the outside edge ( pre-drilled and counter sunk ) sink 3 or 4 evenly spaced #8 - 1 1/2" screws down into the edges of the sides. Coat the screws with the glue also. Then at the corners use full length block braces ( I used 3/4" x 1" ) between the mounting rails for the back and the baffle - glued & screwed - to add more reinforcement.

I used to use rabbet joints on my cabinets, but have never tried a dado.
I have a few pneumatic staple and finish nail guns that I will be using. I haven't built a cabinet in many years so this ought to be a reawakening.
Otoh I have much better tools now than I used to and a few more years of experience.
