Sunn Rig Setup Question
« on: September 16, 2010, 10:16:53 am »
Hello there, figured this is the best place to ask this question.

My current bass rig setup is as follows:
Red Knob Sunn Concert Bass>
Red Sunn 215B

I am going to be purchasing a Sunn Beta Bass Head.

My question is could I plug both heads into the cab at the same time and switch between them with something like this?:

...and now for the part where I explain why I'd like to do this.

I would like for my Tech 21 VT Bass pedal to plug into the "power amp in" on the back of my Concert Bass thus taking it over (as the VT works best with a flat EQ)...

BUT I'd like for the Beta Bass to be unaffected by the VT (seeing as using this head with a flat EQ would be like cutting off Jesse Owens legs at birth). I also find the chance to switch back and forth between the sound of a Beta Bass and an SVT enticing. Also: I know I could split my signal and run the VT into either A or B on the Beta, but I don't want to run that channel flat.

Just trying to make sure if this is safe to do.
And thanks in advance for any help.
