Beta Bass Head - Drive Pot......

Hi

I am told I need to replace / repair the two drive pots on my Beta bass as it suffers from very bad crackiling (sometimes unprovoked and mostly when the knobs are turned).

Does anyone know an easy fix for this? Is theresomewhere I can buy replacement pots from?

You should verify that there is no DC on the pots caused by leaking capacitors. The Beta preamps use these small non-polarized electrolytics that can go bad after 10 years. If there is no DC, a good spray cleaning will usually get rid of the noise. It is very difficult to find replacement pots that will fit in the circuit board.
