Handle for Smiley Sunn
« on: September 28, 1999, 10:43:00 pm »
Hi folks,
I'm looking for a handle for an early "Smiley" Sunn amp.
230-B-60, I think. I have the hardware but the handle
is broken.  I have seen some handles that look like they
might work, but they are too long.  I realize that there
is little chance of finding an original replacement, but
can anyone tell me about a replacement that might work?
The hardware mounts are 5" apart.

Thanks,
Jack

Check the web for TCH or Southco.  I have had great and recent success finding all kinds of parts for amps and cabinets at TCH (in fact, I'm expecting a shipment today).  Southco has all kinds of handles, fasteners, "you name it".  I'd bet you'll find the specs and appearance your after at one of those two places.

Try this place too.

Parts express is worth a try, too...

These handles were originally purchased from a local luggage repair shop.  I don't know if these repair shops would still stock such an item but you might try larger metropolitan cities - yellow pages luggage - repair.  Good luck!
