Concert Bass volume stuck on 10

I just replaced the volume pot on this amp with 500K ohm just like original.  nice clean solder joints and no traces are shorted.  Yet this dang thing playing like it is on 10 no matter where the volume is set.

Only other thing I did to the amp while doing this is replace a couple of caps (the 2 1000uf & 1 250uf) on the amp board. 

checked everything I can think of, anyone have some suggestions on what I could have fouled up?

You probably have a bad pot or a hair line crack in a PCB trace. You should be able to find this with an ohm meter.

trace to the pot was scratched through. 

All is well again.
