Early 200S knobs
« on: February 19, 2011, 10:02:58 am »
I wonder how many early 200S type amps are out there in use? The kind with NON-numbered skirted knobs. Like the Fender numbered knobs except having just a pointer and no numbers.

The reason I ask is that in my quest for new knobs (mine are rusty) I have talked to some manufacturers, but generally they want to sell 500 or more of them at a time.
If a person were to buy 500 of them it would be enough for 166 amps with 3 knobs each.

It might be worth it to do if you could sell them all. But who would want to get stuck with hundreds of knobs?

Maybe our fellow forum member George (I think he's a forum member), who had a number of these one or two years ago, could chime in here with his experience.

I'm glad I bought as many knobs from him as I did!

I would buy an extra set of knobs if they were available.
