Interest in knobs ?
« on: March 02, 2011, 10:38:46 am »
I have been toying with the idea of having a run of knobs done by the original manufacturer and I am trying to judge interest. They require an order of 500 minimum. I thought I would post this here and see if there's any interest if I should do something like that. I guess I could put them on ebay, but where better to judge interest than on a Sunn forum ?

Like this only bright and shinny and new

What diameter is it?
And does it have a set screw mount?
Next time i get to the supply house. I will pick up one.

The skirt diameter is 1-1/8" and it is 3/4" tall (these are approximates)
I'd take 3 depending on if they are realistically priced.

I have seen giant versions of this knob.

Greg,
This is the knob. It isnt the serrated knob and the spun aluminum insert is flat. It is 1 1/8" diameter
with 1/4" shaft and set screw. The knob is basicaly like the sunn red knob amps.

I have seen those around and got very close to buying them, but didn't.
They are the closest I could find too.

Still toying with the idea of buying a run of them. I get nonsensically obsessive when it comes to restoration of things sometimes.

The rusty ones don't look too bad when you get back a few feet.  :|

My wife suggested soaking them in real lemon or lime juice and it helped a lot. But now if we want Margaritas we have to go buy more limes
