Hello everyone,
I just purchased a Sunn A212. I have always wanted a Sunn amp but have played a '74 Marshall for about 20 years. I cant seem to part with it but Ive always wanted a model T or something similar. Admittedly I do not know a whole lot about these amps other than some of my favorite tones have been produced by them.
Most of the clubs my band Vultures Await plays arent that big so my Marshall half is plenty but Ive really wanted to go stereo and that's what I plan to do with the A212.
I cannot find much info about this amp so anyone that has some Id greatly appreciate it. Ive only just plugged the guitar in and had a few minutes with it but I can tell my SG is enamored by it. The guitar really came alive and I cant wait to hear it in combo with the Marshall. Im at work now ( )  or Id be playing.
The amp has some pretty bad celestions that I will most likely replace, any advice would be appreciated. Im looking for a tone somewhere between Leslie West and Frank Zappa.
I read somewhere this amp was only produced for one year (why?) and that it was Sunn's answer to the Fender Twin (Im pretty sure it stomps on that one). I believe it is a '74 but not sure.
