412L identification question

Newbie time. I'm going to apologize in advance for the nature of this thread, I'm sure you guys get this all the time. I just picked up a 412L off craigslist for 250$. I'm extremily happy with it, aside from the fact that it's got Emenance Bass speakers in it. I'll be swapping them out for transducers asap, but in the meantime, I have no way of telling how old this cab is. The guy I bought it from said he's had it for 20 years, but that doesn't really tell me too much. The cab has no serial number, so is there any other way I can figure out when it was made? Would it be helpful if I posted pictures? Again, I'm not even sure this is the right place for this thread, so let me know if I need to move it, I'll be happy to do so. Thanks in advance, guys.

The serial numbers don't give you a date, so that isn't an issue. A lot of Sunn gear has an actual date inside the cab somewhere, you could look for that or just post a picture and I'm sure someone can at least narrow it down for you.

I dunno if this is a good enough angle, I had a bandmate who was at the practice space take a photo and email it to me.
Also: pardon the re-issue head, it'll have to do until I can find a real Model T in my area.

Weeeird. The 412L usually has a white front board, and a black grille cloth. Either someone 'modernized' it to look like an 80's Sunn cab, or it's some weird hybrid beast of a 412L.

I could imagine those Eminence speakers benefitting the cab, though.

that looks like an Enforcer cab like the one i have-the '412L' doesnt look like it belongs there.
mine has the black logo in the middle of the cab.

Definitely a 412L, or what was a 412L. I don't really know too much about Sunn cabs but I do know this, the original Tranducers in the 412L suck! Well it's all preference, but the general consensus is that the 12'' Sunn Guitar Tranducers in the 412L have very shrill highs that disappear completely when the amp is cranked and the mids aren't much better either, it's just bass, bass noise.

It looks like the color on the front board is uneven, which I didn't think much of at first glance, but it could be that someone painted over it. I'll check it tonight when I get back to my jam space.

I hadn't heard that about the original transducers, perhaps I should do some shopping around before I decide for sure what I'm gonna end up loading it with.
