mexican Concert Lead II???
« on: July 23, 2005, 12:02:52 pm »
hey all. im very new to this forum but i was looking to see if anyone could help me out with a bit of information.
i recently came across a Sunn Concert Lead II on which everything is printed in Spanish (all the labels, etc).
i was just wondering about some general info on this, if anyone would know as far as what year it could possibly be, how reliable it might be, what a good price to fetch for it would be, etc etc. i know a little bit about sunn, i have a very old concert bass and have been interested in the Lead for some time; but i didnt even know they made a "II", no less a Spanish version!! clearly i could use some expert's wisdom.

anyways, any help would be much appreciated! thanks a lot!

hello there, greets from mexico!

yes indeed, there were sunn (as well as accoustic) amps licence-built down here, i guess it must've been in the mid-late 70s until the early 80s. they do still pop up quite often; concert lead, concert bass, alpha 4, 8 and 16 mixers, concert slave, and yes, the concert lead II and concert bass II. those II-series are all-black and kinda ugly looking, but they're MONSTERS!!!

all the above mentioned came out mostly with english labels, but some were also made with spanish ones: volumen, agudos (treble), medios (mid), bajos (bass), etc.

quite rare, good, durable rockers... and certainly a good conversation piece if you have one... on the northern side of the border! ;)

good luck,

Pat.
