Jet City amplification
« on: August 07, 2011, 06:40:37 pm »
Has anyone had the chance to use the new Jet City JCA 22H (has the Soldano SLO overdrive circuit)

2xEL84  5x12AX7 with effects loop?

I have 1 bought it last week and i gotta be honest jet city didnt really impress me till i played on a buds jca 50 watt head which also has the SLO circuit ...............its almost dead on Soldano!  i was really blew away by this and the price was great.

so if anyone has been wanting that soldano slo tone at a affordable price i would say jet city is the way to go .

i took it apart of course to look at the circuit board its pc board but its done right was really impressed with that the pots are cheap and jacks are cheap but its a budget soldano so thats understood head cab was a little shotty but again its a budget amp .

oh $399 for the 20 watt 2 channel head btw

they're cute little heads... A little bit too "Chinese" for me to trust them totally, at least the big watters, the 20 watt head sounds really nice. Kind of like a dirtier 800...
