Sunn 2000S Transformer question

Are the Transformers also Dynaco on the 2000S like the older amps like the 100s/200S?
It looks as if the transformers are the same size for the 100s/200s as the 1200S, its just that there are two more tubes that produce more  wattage output?

I believe some are Dynaco and some are Schumacher. They are much bigger in the 1000/2000 series amps though, the OT's are the size of a small cantaloupe!
Usually the limiting factor in an amps power output is the output transformer rather than the tubes. You can't just add tubes to get (significantly) more power, you also need to add "iron".

Mercury Magnetics have replacements for the 100/200 series however I don't believe they have a standard replacement for the 1000/2000 series.  When I was having this problem I contacted them and they did offer to make me a custom transformer...it just would have cost me an arm and a leg.  I had the original rewound instead.

Mercury has offered the output transformer for a while, and thanks jnick1947 to forking out the big $ for a prototype, it looks as if the are now offering the PT as well...

Hi again, Paul@mercury magnetics just E-mailed me that the 2000s PT I sent him to "clone" is on its way back.
They now list it for $375.00.

Also Triode Electronics has excellent "Dyna Clone" PT's and OT's that are great replacements for the 2 X KT88/6550 Sunn amps.

Do these transformers seem to be stock? The one on the left looks very tiny and different to what I've seen before.

Power transformer looks too small, like a 60 Watt unit. Also, the choke has been changed.

That looks too small, here is a pic of my 350B, which is the 2000s rebadged. See how much larger the power transformer is.
Also it has 2 chokes, both should be inside the chassis.
