We're talking the four knob, weave grill cloth, 24 inch wide, increment numbers printed on the control panel version, with the mongo 2000s style output transformer. Am I correct in assuming that this was an outgrowth of the tube Coliseum PA head, a missing link that led to the 1000 and 2000 series? Were these strictly prototypes, or was there a small production run that actually went to retail? What was the time window on these, and was there a similar suped-up 200s for bass, as was conjectured about Noel Redding's earlier rig before he got the 2000s proper? Inquiring minds need to know!
