Does anyone know what the power handling on the square, front-loaded Sunn Coliseum Bass 1x18 enclosures were? Mine says it has an 18" Sunn Transducer, 4 ohms.

Hello:
If it is loaded with the SPL 18R then it is a 400 watt driver (3" VC). If it is an older unit it will most likely be a Magna 18 (4" VC) which will handle 400 watts if the acoustic loading is ok (VC will hit the back plate if loaded improperly).

I'm not sure what the speaker is...all it says is "Vega Associates, North Hollywood". I'm pretty sure it's a 4" magnet.

Hello:
I don't have specs on the vega unit. They were popular in the late 70's early 80's. Cerwin Vega systems were installed in theaters during the hayday of disaster films.
Good luck:

Hi -
The 4" VC Cerwin-Vega 18's are rated, as I recall, at 300W RMS. Personnally, I'd keep it closer to 200. A LOT of Acoustic 360's burned the voice coils in these drivers.
