I've never seen a cab shaped like this...I haven't received it yet but the seller said it has an Alnico (not sure if it's a Jensen or what) and a Utah speaker.  I looked up some Utah's and they seem to be worth about as much (if not more) than I payed for the can if it the Alnico is a Jensen then the same applies to that.  I play really heavy stoner rock stuff...Earth, Sunn, Sleep, Electric Wizard and I'm worried that these spakers can't take those power loads.  I'd be looking to run it with another 2x12 (a Mesa with Celestion Vintage 30's) and a 100-watt Sovtek MIG100H which is very loud...I tune down to B so that also puts a lot of stress on speakers...will I be all right or should I sell the speakers and replace them with higher powered modern speakers?
no, no, no, this is beautiful...this is art

My cab has Sunn (Eminence) Alnico rated at 50 watts each I would think yours is about the same.

I have one that someone just gave me(it was empty)! These appeared mid-to-late 70's, and provide long-throw projection for mids and high-end, although there is a low-frequency port, I can't imagine, with the limited internal box space, that much in the way of low frequency waves could be built up.  John Entwistle used these cabs as the top-end of his Sunn "wall-of-bass" rig in the late 70's; the low end was provided by Sunn folded horn cabs. Go find a copy of the "Kids Are Alright" movie, and you'll see the cabs in the live segments of them(filmed in '78)playing "Baba O'Reilly" and "Won't Get Fooled Again". You might want to put newer, higher-powered speakers in it...interesting application for guitar.  This cabinet is actually based on PA cab design. Let us know how it works out. I'm planning on installing two Carvin 12" bass speakers(actually Eminences)to make it the top part of my bass rig!

Well if I was to put some newer, higher powered speakers in there I should probably account for the cabs lack of low-end (I still haven't gotten it yet, I guess I'll have to wait 'til tuesday).  So maybe a darker speaker like the vintage 30 would be best.  The other cab I'd use it with though would have vintage 30's but it's a Mesa and shaped completely different...I like to mis-match sounds, usually bright with dark speakers etc..
