Sunn-style knobs ?
« on: June 22, 2000, 03:30:00 pm »
Hey all -- anybody know where I could get some black skirted, silver-insert, 0-10 knobs like on late 60s-early 70 Sunns?  VERY VERY much appreciated.  I've got some Fender blackface knobs and they looks fairly similar but I'd like some closer (the 1-10 bugs the heck out of me)!

THANK YOU!!

geoff..i know how you feel...i've been looking for the 0-10 knobs also.....ya, the fenders don't look that bad but the 0 to 10's would look better,,,i 'am thinking of popping the metal centers out of the fender knobs and gluing them on the old sunn's..it would look better than the rusty, sweat eaten centers that are in most of our knobs we have now....good luck....smile.....BOB

Sunn used the same knobs as Music Man (vice versa, perhaps) - they were made by Rogan Brothers in IL.  Rogan still exists (and makes knobs) but I don't know if they still make these.

There are two 'versions' of the knob also, the fonts for the numbers are different.  One is narrow and one is wider.

Wanted to drag this post up again.

http://www.tubesandmore.com

Look under the "Knobs" catagory. They have 0-10 Fender style knobs. The have 1-10 stlye in teh picture, but they describe them as 0-10.

I shot them an email to find out...

OK SPARKS!!!  I think I have fallen for this one twice now.  Which knobs should I be looking for... the only ones on that page that are numbered are 1-10 Fender style.

But while we are on the subject of 0-10... it would sure be nice to have some with the red instead of silver centers

I just heard back from them. That is a typo in the description. Those really are what the picture shows, 1-10 knobs.
