Sunn Alpha Six Mixer

Help... I just bought a used Sunn Alpha Six mixer and have no manuals. I'd like to use it with a powered amp, but when I plug the amp into the "effects out" jack on the back of the Sunn, I lose the reverb. Do I need to plug a pedal in the "reverb pedal" jack, or should I be connecting the other power amp to some other jack on the Sunn.

thanks for the help

Hello:
If the reverb quits then you are plugging into the effects return jack. Main or monitor out will work too. Most failures on those mixers were from bad switching jacks in the back panel.

Thanks for the feeback...
This mixer doesn't have a monitor jack. It has "Accessory Pre Equalizer" in and out. "Accessory Post Equalizer" in and out. "Master Mixer" in. "Speakers" 1 and 2. "Effects" Line out. And "Reverb Footswitch"

I don't know if any of the other outputs can be plugged in to another powered head.

Any other suggestions.

Hello:
Yep, You are right, I was thinking of the SR series. You can patch from any "out" to another amp. Remember that "in" is BEFORE "out" on a sunn product. "In" jacks are switching jacks and will disable any signal in favor of the insert.

According to the block diagram listed here: http://www.sunnamplifiers.com/svcmans/alphaPA/alphapa9.jpg

the effects out jack is prior to the mixing of the reverb return signal.  To have reverb in the signal, I would suggest plugging into either of the two "to accessory" jacks - depending on your desire to equalize the signal sent to the external power amp.  This will also allow you to control the overall level with the master volume control.
