Power Transformer for Sonic I-40
« on: July 08, 2002, 07:04:00 pm »
I have what I believe is a 40 watt Sonic I - since in an earlier post Conrad worte that the 40 watt model uses the 7199 driver tube, and this is what is in the amp.  Problem is, I picked it up in the late 70's and it had no Power Tranformer in it.  It appears that the previous owner hacked it up a bit and must have toasted the oringinal PT.  Can anyone tell me what PT I can use as a replacement?  The Output Transformer is a Dynaco A 470.

Thanks

Greg Z, thanks. But since I do not have the original PT from the amp I am not sure what PT part number I am replacing.  Magnequest has two - the MQ060 and the MQ782.  Do you know what the original PT was on a Sonic I?
