MODEL AX 110
« on: April 28, 2016, 02:13:33 pm »
Just got the ax 110.  little triangle shaped thing.  8 inch speaker with 4 inch tweeter.  says,   in/out parallel over the two  1/4 inch jacks.  also- power handling 100 watt. system impedence 16 ohm.  i thought it was a monitor, someone is telling me it's a little bass amp.  what's up.  any thoughts.  don't want to blow it up.-dave

Everything I can find says it's a stage monitor, and if I were looking at it myself, that's what I'd say, too. Doesn't look as though it's an amp at all, just a 16 ohm speaker with a level control.

Does it have a power cord and an on-off switch? If not, it's just a monitor.

Is that the monitor that would fit together so that a pair could be transported as one cube?

The only ones I know of that fit together are the 212SR and 410SR. I have a set of 212SR cabinets. Never use them.

all of that appears to be correct.  the level switch is what threw me.  i was afraid there was supposed to be a power source.  gonna use it as a little monitor for the drummer.  thanks.
