Beta Power+ Input Sensitivity
« on: March 30, 2021, 09:30:30 pm »
Hi all, new here and in need of some knowledge! My question is about the input sensitivity led indicator on Power+ slaves. The user manual says if its solid red that indicates a short or other problem, if it flickers while playing it means the input is clipping. But it also says the knob should be on 10 when used with a Bass or Lead! At any stage volume point (6 or 7) on my Beta Bass (or Hilbish Sol Invictus) my Power+ led is "clipping". Is it okay to just let it be, or am I frying a pre driver transistor/other components? The slaves run pretty cool, and are in good health otherwise. Thanks!

Clipping is ok, it's just the way music is played. You should be using the "To Accessory Master" output on the amp that is driving the Power Plus Slave. Never use the Speaker Out to drive the Slave, damage may result.
