Beta 402/202 Cab Output Jack Question

Hi! I have a Beta 402 412 cab (4ohms 200W), and recently picked up a Beta 202 212 (4ohms 100W). Was mainly wondering about the Parallel/Series output jacks on the back of the cab. I would like to run both cabs at the same time, but have usually run two heads. Never really used the output jacks, and before I blow anything up I just wanted to double check on this.

Say if I run a single 8ohm line from my amp into the first cab, am I able to run the series output from that cab, into the input of the other cab? If I do the same with the Parallel output, would that still be running 2ohms? Lastly, would the different power handling of each of the cabs have any effect on my amp?

If you run a line from the amp to the input of one cabinet, then from the series output to the second cab, you should then have  total load of 8 ohms.

If you run from the parallel output of the first cab to the input of the second, you should have a 2 ohm load.

The different power handling ratings of the cabinets will have no effect on the amp.

Cool, thanks! Just wanted to be sure haha. Can't find much info on these cabs and of course I'm overthinking it, wondering if they served some other purpose. Tried it out with my Mesa DC5, sounds huge.

I doubt it will be of any concern with your DC5, however a good thing to keep in mind when daisy chaining different cabs is that when the impedance of the cabs are equal each cab will get equal power.
So the two 12's in the 202 is getting the same power as the four 12's 402, pushing the two drivers in the 202 harder than the four drivers in the 402. The cabs combined won't react as a "six twelve".

Not necessarily a bad thing of course, unless you were using a big power, in which case the 2X12 might be stressed beyond it's capability.
