concert lead question

I've been noticing sporadic fluctuation in volume... like it will be sounding fine, and then for anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes there will be a significant reduction in volume.  I dropped the thing a few weeks ago, and a friend of mine thinks that a transistor may have been knocked loose... does this sound right? Thanks,

This question has been asked several times... and fairly recently to boot.  Check down a couple of items, or use the search function to help find your answer.

A transistor being knocked loose is pretty remote.  Probably a lug connection.
