 You either have bad power transistors or the predrives Tip 29 & 30 might be toast. Do not forget the bias transistor (little guy held to the heatsink by a srew and clamp.

Hey Don,
Sorry Iv'e been away from the puter fer a bit. Have had a chance to look at power brd some more.
Powerbrd is a 20-0135-3G.
With the pre brd disconnected checking voltages
main rectum fryer output good at +43 and -43 VDC.
Voltages at TIP30 are: Base > -14.7V
                            Collector > -43.5V
                               Emitter > +7.5V
So it looks like there's a problem there and that's a far as I've gotten on that.
I really hope I don't have to mess with the bias xsistor as I don't have a damn scope !!!

 Well, You'll just have to keep checking backwards. That 14.7 does look suspicious. Tip 30 tweaked but since it looks like the base is at supply volts then I would guess the transistor before the tip is shorted or possibly the bias transistor or circuit problem.

Hey Don
I removed TIP30 to test out of circuit and get no diode drop across Base/Emitter junction. TIP is Toasty O'd.
Other TIP29 good as +15v supply OK.
Just have to find a replacement in my scrap box.
Hope that's it for trouble but I'll know soon.

Hey mon . . .
Well . . . I got signal from pre ch A but not pre ch B.
Actually there is a signal but it's quite weak and distorted.
Still haven't installed power transistor yet. ( wanna get Ch B workin)
I think it's one of the op amps or maybe the inverter in the drive section.
Also getting signal at master pre out but only when plugged to Ch A.
Whats the scoop on that damn bias transistor ???
Like I said before I don't have a scope unfortunately and I have a feelin I gonna hafta tweak that thingy.
Any advice would be great.
Will somebody answer that damn phone !!!

Well . .. I blew it !!! I couldn't leave well enough alone. I had at least one channel goin then I had to pursue the one that wasn't.
I ended up fryin both channels now. I don't know if it's one them 4069's which I can get tons of them. It's the MC14506B I can't get right away anyway. I think I can get a few ordered here in Vancouver.
I knew I should have left it alone . . .
