It's my favorite band. I'm very impressed by the low frequencies they produce. Especially Greg Anderson, even a bass can not do that. Is it just a matter of connecting several preamps together?

I've heard that the bassist has found a frequency that paralyzes your butt muscle, so if you have a bad stomach at one of their concerts, too bad:)

enough amps, some moog, some oscillators and make sure you tune down your instruments as low as you possibly can and off you go.

They are quickly becoming one of my favorite bands. I'd love to see them live. I don't know about the 'brown note,' though... Apparently it's only a myth.

Seeing as how he said they both used two Model T's, could anyone describe/explain to me their process in connecting the two amps together?  Are they using one as a slave?  Or are they splitting their signal and just running two amps at the same time?  What kind of methods could one use to connect two model t's together?  As this is something I want to experiment with in the near future...

Could someone clear up this question for me?

If you look on the Q&A forum and go to the "Best 6550 tubes for the Model T" thread, I raised the question of how Sunn o))) gets their sound out of the Model T's if they're not known for being all that high gain... I'm pretty sure they're getting that sound out of the amps and not some stompbox as they named their band after the amps... so can anyone tell me how I can get the Sunn o))) sound out of an old Model T?  I was thinking about buying one, but I need to know what I'm going to need to do to get that doom sound... I'm playing a Gibson SG standard strung with a bass string on top, tuned down to drop A through a reissue model t and (hopefully soon) an old 74 model t...

anyone?

The trick is to get the loudest clean amp you possibly can and make it sound messed up using distortion pedals and downtuning. It's a lot easier to make a clean sound shitty than a shitty sound clean. I guess they just really like sunn amps! I've taken a total leap of faith on a spectrum and am just expecting the loudest clean sound ever.

This band is solely responsible for making the prices of Model T's and all other Sunn amps jump up 10,000%. What a bummer.

Oh, I've seen them live twice. I learned once you've seen them once, you've seen them enough. Fortunately, Boris and Thrones played the second time I saw them, so it wasn't a complete waste. Boris was absolutely amazing live.
