I like mine a lot, but when I saw the one on on ebay I thought it was
a little too expensive for something I can't even play before buying.

The guy also said in the ad that it sounded a lot like the VOX 7120, and how the beatles used them. i think that is great that people are paying good $ for sunn equipment. The last 2 years i have been buying as much cheap sunn gear as i can. I got a coliseum 1x18 cab for $100, a coliseum 880 and the matching 1x18 cab for $150 i think, a 410s cab for $40, a Spectrum 1 for $100, a 1200s that didnt work with really good 6550 and GZ34, for like $120, also got a 2x15 cab for $100.

I'm really digging my Sceptre!  I chanced upon the ad seconds after posted @ http://www.talkbass.com  $125 shipped

I'm in need of a Sunn bass cabinet.  I've always run 12's and dig the top end (hunting for a cheap 4x12)... but I'd definately settle for a 2x15.  I've been playing since 1980 and never tried Sunn before... I don't think I'd ever seen one live or in stores (I've played a lot of festivals).

I know this Sceptre is a guitar head... but it sounds great with my bass.  The mid boost is just nasty  8)

My prized Ashdown has become my back up amp  :D
