410 SR?

I found these old wedge shape speakers that lock together for transport.
they have 2 10"s and a passive radiator. Are they floor monitors?
That's what I used them for although I'm temped to use them with
my 2000s. Yes, they are pre-Fender

Odd. I know of two such cabinets. One is the 212SR, with two twelves in each cabinet. The other is the 410SR, with four tens. Neither had a passive radiator. In both designs, there were two different drivers. One was for highs, the other for low end reinforcement. That's what the promo said, anyway. The 410SR had two of each.

I used to have a set of 410SRs. Used them for PA, then monitors. Wish I still had them. I now have a set of 212SRs, but they're not in very good shape.

the 10"s look like normal jbl's. so what's that thing in the middle?
a tweeter or mid-range? they sound a lot better than they look.

I couldn't tell you without a picture. Is what you're calling a passive radiator a whiz ring, attached to the voice coil of two of the drivers?

The original driver complement of the 410SR was two drivers with whiz rings, for extended high frequencies, and two without. All four were run together, full range. Sunn was no longer using JBL drivers at that time, but had switched to Sunn Transducers.
