Model T info...

I've always remembered the Model T to be rated 100 watts RMS.  Had two techs(one is an EE) check mine out and both said it rated as 96 watts.  The second one answered my question about what it's rating is and followed it up with "G** d***, that thing is loud."  Maybe they are using different measurement techniques that your techs?  Don't know, but it sounds good and it IS loud.

There is a big difference between rated output power of a head and the peak output. Note that Marshall metal panels that are rated at 100W have a peak output 280W. This is how people blew up a full stack loaded green back Celestions with one head. 2 cabs rated at 100W each = 200W max capcity. The head did 280W peak and was capable of cooking both cabs.

This difference between rated and peak output is why some amps like the Model T sound so much louder than other 100W amps. If you check you'll find that 100W amps can range from 135 - 300W of peak power. That is a huge difference.
