using a concert lead as a power amp???
« on: April 07, 2004, 12:14:04 am »
does any one know how to use a sunn concert lead as a power amp? i hear you can do this by running the slave amp out into the power amp in on the sunn. i dont want to fry my head so i havent really expieremented. for about 2 seconds i ran from the power amp in on the sunn to the speaker out of my other head.....i know thats the best way to fry both heads but it sounded incredible.....it was fucking loud, luckily i didnt fry either head......any suggestions. is there any way to get around the speaker output with out frying all my shit? i ran it from the slave out on my other head into the power amp in on the sunn and it didnt really seem to boost the power by that much, it really just seemed like it took some of the sunn's tone......any help would be appreciated
thanks

You've got it.  Just connect a line level signal source, like a slave or preamp output to the power amp input on the Concert.  Connect the Concert to a speaker cabinet.
