Sunn 350B bass head
« on: April 22, 2004, 03:59:20 pm »
I would like to ask Conrad Sundholm, or anyone else who knows anything about this model. I can't find any info at all about the Sunn 350B bass head. It has four 6550 tubes. The tag on the back reads - Sunn Musical Equipment Co., Amburn Industrial Park, Taulatin OR 97062. It has a pair of speaker cabs - Model 115M. 120 watts RMS 8 ohms.  Each has one 15 inch speaker. The reading on the speakers is - Sunn Magna 158. The frame is purple.
Where does this amp fit into the scheme of things? Is it equavilent to any other models?

Greager,
The 350B was the successor to the 2000S. As I recall, it was introduced about 1974 at the same time as the 190B (that replaced the 200S). I have not seen a schematic for the 350B, however I imagine it is fairly similar to the 2000S, putting out 120 watts RMS from a quartet of 6550's. Properly set up this should be a great bass rig.
