beta bass footswitch
« on: December 19, 2004, 06:56:16 pm »
this seems like a common question, but I have yet to see an answer.  I am looking for a footswitch for my "new" beta bass head.  The only problem is it has a very odd jack that looks like a small xlr almost.  My friend has a beta lead and his footswitch is a 1/4".  Any ideas on where I could find an odd footswitch or how to convert the jack to a 1/4"?

I Changed the "XLR like" jack to a 1/4". I went to Radio Shack and bought their 1/4" three-conductor Stereo Phone Jack. RS p/n 274-312B. They com in pkgs of two. Using the schematic provided on this site, I connected the wires like this: Black wire to terminal #1(Gnd.), White wire to terminal #2, Blue wire to terminal #3. I'm also in the process of building my own footswitch. When I'm done with that I'll post the entire project in detail in cluding drawings and photos. If you run into any problems, I'll try to help.   PEACE! :D
