Beta question

Hi,
i'm fairly new to this forum although i've been lurking for a while hehe.
Here's my question:
I use a Beta Lead 2x12". I've taken out the amplifier/head and got that hooked up to a 8ohm 4x12". Now what i have left is the 2x12" from the beta combo. I have a marshall tubehead(jcm800) and i want to run both amps, however i don't have another 4x12" yet for the marshall. Does anybody know what the impedance is of the input of the 2x12", so i can hook the marshall up to the 2x12"(impedance of the marshall should equal that of the cab right?) for the time being.
Sorry for that incoherent post, but this is all fairly new for me
Many thanks!!
David

And oh yeah i could run the marshall with my 4x12" and the Sunn Beta with it's own speakers, but i like the way the beta sounds with the 4x12" and i want to use the marshall head for a more cleaner subtile sound. That's why

The 2x23 could be either 8 or 4 ohms. No way to know without more information. Are there any markings on the backs of the drivers? Something like "Sunn 128G", for example? Or, better yet, "8 ohms"?

I'm fairly certain that the speakers are 8 ohm a piece.

If that's true, then the 2x12 is almost surely 4 ohms, and the drivers wired in parallel. It's possible that they're wired in series for 16 ohms, but that's highly unlikely.
Do you have an ohmmeter?

I also think it's 4 ohms. My Beta is in our practice space so i won't know for certain until saturday. I have a ohm/multimeter somewhere so i'll check it(stupid i didn't think of that before i started this topic
).
Thanks for the help! Can't wait to try this combination.

Hello:
BETA 2X12 cabs came with:
early = 81-0118 speakers w/ 2" VC, 54ounce magnet (square).
Late = 81-0126 w/1.5" VC and 30 ounce magnet (round).
The speakers were 8ohm in parrallel netting the amp 4ohms.

Oh yeah:
Industry standard markings of the era:
+ terminal marked with a blue dot = 4ohms, a red dot = 8 ohms, yellow dot = 16 ohms.
