Can anyone tell me where to get information on my amp? I've tried all the easy sources, Sunnamps.com, user's sites, etc., but nothing on this particular amp.
It's a Sunn Thunder Magna 3800 Amp, 400 watts per channel as stated on the back. It is truly a two channel amp, with two transformers, two large banks of capacitors, two fans, and two volume knobs. The only thing it shares is the cord.
I bought it from a friend that worked at the Portland Memorial Colliseum years ago. He claims it was left behind by Pink Floyd, but I think he spent to much time under the stage smoking whatever he could find.
I'm currently using it to push a pair of SpeakerLab Super Sevens, with an 18" Carvin sub next to each speaker. All those speakers, and this amp still pounds hard enough to chase people out of the house!
