Absolutely they did! I have one! I believe that these were Sunn's first P.A. heads and according to an article in the November 1998 Vintage Guitar magazine by John Teagle, one of the first built was sold to the Beach Boys. Hendrix was reported to have used one briefly as well. This was Sunn's first 120 watt RMS amp and was the platform model for the 1000S, 1200S, 1500S and 2000S amps. I think these are a real "sleeper" in the vintage market, but I'd scoop it up just for the historic value and incredible build-quality. Grab it before the rest of the vintage amp guys get hip to Sunn and force the prices up!
