Sunn Buzz
« on: August 19, 2005, 03:08:52 pm »
I'm looking for a SUNN Buzz distortion (fuzz) unit.  These little gizmos plugged directly into the guitar.  They are shown on the first page of the 1967 SUNN brochure.  If anyone has one to offer, I'd love to know about it!  --

Hey
I have a Sunn Buzz. I've had it for about 15 years and it mostly just sits in a box. Sounds like a fuzz box, but not a very nice one.  I keep it for novelty value because I love Sunn stuff (I play a 4x15" Sunn Coliseum bass cabinet, the coffin...)

I think I paid $5 for the Buzz in Ohio on a tour.

gehussey,

If you want to get rid of the Sunn Buzz, let me know.  I had one years and years ago, and yeah, it's not the greatest fuzz unit but I liked it.  I also have lots of other Sunn stuff, amps, even Sunn Mustang guitars.

no its not!
that is a 2X15 on the left and a 4X15 on the right.
i know cause i own two cabs exactly like that pic.
on the 4X15 the baffle is in a V shape facing out-so it is a thin cab for what it has in it.

I don't have a 4X15 cab, but I do have some 2000S heads and cabs, and based on the 2000S amp in the picture, that cab on the right is about the same dimensions as a 2X15 200S cab.
Do you have any pics of your two 4X15's with the grill removed? Could you give the dimensions of your cabs, porting info, etc.? I have an empty 200S cab and it might be interesting to fabricate a baffle and load 4 D140's in it.
Thanks in advance for the info.
