sunn solarus volume

i was wondering if my sunn solarus is naturally quiter than other 40 watt amps, or is there something wrong with mine? it is outfitted with 2 el-34's, a 7199, a ECC-83, and a ECC-82 for the reverb unit (which was removed when i bought the amp) any info would be excellent, thanks

If your Solarus is low on power, it could be a lot of things. Weak tubes, caps or resistors that have drifted off tolerance, weak filter caps, etc. Take your amp to an amp tech for a check-up. You can print a copy of the schematic from this website to take along.
