I was gonna do a trade for some equipment I have with a local person. I'm supposed to get an Ampeg B25 with ampeg 2x15 from around 1968. He said it was modified to accept 6550's instead of the original 7027a's and modified to have 8 ohm impedence instead of original 16 ohm. I know it is not a sunn but does anyone out there have any experience with one of these and do the mod's sound like something that would be functional? Perhaps the collectable value may have been brought down but it sounds like cool set up for playing. Any thoughts?(I'm supposed to get a coliseum 300 out of it too!
