i have a sunn sunn spots sc216 lighting controller. two of them actually... i got them for free, but with no manuals or info, and im not really a light guy... more of a sound guy thats in a little over his head.

it looks to be a 2 scene 16 channel unit...

my  questions is... what can i run for dimmer packs? can it control DMX dimmer packs?

also/does the unit need to be/how is the unit powered... i dont even see a jack for a power supply

i tried looking the info/maual on the fender site and came up with squat.

also... any good resources for used equipment would be cool.

thanks!

Hello:
That unit is powered by the dimmer pack. It uses standard mic cables to interconnect. You can daisy chain the dimmers by assigning the channels using the programming in the dimmer. I still have a couple of Sunn dimmerpacks. One is a PS600 (upgraded to 1000watts per channel) the other is a PS1200. It will interface perfectly with NSI products since they were designed by the same person. I believe it is multiplexed at 32 channels so it repeats the 16 fader settings. I still have the original prototype built by Bob and I back in 1980.

It's the ear not the gear.
