Just noted your reference to "cleanest Sorado on earth" ... when did you get it? Mine's pretty darned clean, I bought it new in '71. Still have the 215 cab, too.

I opened the NOS Sunn box from my small town music store after the old owners son lost the lease, and the box was discovered when cleaning out the inventory.. Smelled like a new car.

I'd be very tempted go $375 for a "NOS" Sorado, but I wasn't aware that they came from the factory with Chinese tubes.
Did you manage to get those "JAZ" initials off of the side?
Also, what is that long bolt through the chassis next to the can cap attached to?

Who said this particular amp advertised here is NOS?? Any person with fair eyesight can see that the one on Ebay is not NOS, not to mention that the Ebay auction does not state NOS either . Your guess is as good as mine pertaining to the tiny bolt on the man made amp chassis on Ebay. Besides why does one assume that one amp selling here is the same amp selling elsewhere? I have many Sorados, but my NOS Sorado will be burried with me. Do I sense some envy here??

Perhaps that evil  little bolt on the one on Ebay, is holding the evil ground wire from the evil three prong plug mod.  Hey, ya never know. Lots can happen in 38yrs.

You seem to be getting awfully defensive. It seems like I struck a nerve. Hey, I think adding a grounded AC cord is great idea, I was just hoping to find a nice unmolested Sorado.

Actually, I was just hoping to find a nice unmolested Sorado to add to MY collection of Sorados. Of course I already have 10; no, 100; no, 10,000 Sorados. Yeah, that's it! There at my home; no, mansion; no, estate in the Hamptons. With my wife.... Morgan Fairchild. Yeah, that's the ticket!
All kidding aside, most people eventually find out it's much easier to keep thier stories straight when they don't make them up as they go along.

Well, if you're looking to molest a virgin Sorado, you better make sure your hands are'nt wet, and hope that the Sorado loves you too, and wants to be molested.  By the way, how did you know I had a place in the Hamptons??
