Model - T as a bass head?

hi everyone ihave heard that it is possible to use the 70's model T as a bass head. is this true? also i have 2 - 2x15 cabs from teh 70's and a newer 2x15 cab from the 90s (all sunn of course) which wouldbe better to use the 70's or 90's cab or does it matter. i also run a beta bass anda concertbass so ill have to do some changing around heh.thanks!

By all means! Back in the 70s I used a Model T exclusively for bass and it sounded great! I played it through either a Sunn 2x15 or a Sunn 4x15 cabinet. In fact, back then I recall that almost all the guys I knew who used the Model T used it for bass. Again, it's a great sounding bass head.

thanks alot man. we havent had a chance to have a practice with my new set up(all three stacks!!) but i cant wait to run my Rickenbacker through it in A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never much cared for my second generation T as a bass head, until I did a few of the mods. Specifically, I cut the wire that reduces the gain above 8 on the master, and bypassed the mid boost so that it's zero when the knob is at zero. Now, I love it!
